Our Unique Terroir
Château Canon Chaigneau is located on the eastern side of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, on the Néac plateau, just north of the Pomerol plateau, home to iconic estates such as Pétrus, Lafleur, La Conseillante and Clinet.
This exceptional site has been recognised since Roman times, with winemaking taking place here for nearly 2,000 years.
Today, the expression of this historic terroir is directly shared with Singapore wine lovers, through our local presence.
Our Legendary Winemaker
Thierry Garnaud is the winemaker behind some of Bordeaux’s most iconic 100-point vintages, including 1990, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2016.
At Château Canon Chaigneau, he brings the same precision, intuition and discipline that defined his work at Cheval Blanc.
From the Grand Vin to the more contemporary Cuve 8a, his wines are crafted in Bordeaux and made readily available in Singapore, without compromise.
Our Family Story
London-born wine merchant Romik Arconian and his partner Marine Fontana, an agricultural engineer, lead Château Canon Chaigneau as a family-run estate, supported by their two young children and a small circle of close friends as long-term investors.
Their journey naturally brought them to Singapore — a place that shares their appreciation for craftsmanship, precision and great wine.
Today, the estate is rooted in Bordeaux and firmly present in Singapore, bringing the château closer to its community of collectors and wine lovers.
Deeply attached to the estate’s legacy, they have maintained close ties with the Marin family, who owned and operated the vineyard from the 1960s and remain shareholders today. Louis Marin continues to oversee the vines as Chef de Culture, a role he has held for nearly 40 years..
